BACS Impact This Month: February

This is coming late but better late than never, the truth says!

Here’s a brief report of what we were up to at BACS, in the month of February:

– LEAP Africa SIP Workshop 2018! Yes, Our very own Abimbola Oladapo (Co-Founder, BACS), was selected amongst one of the 20 social innovators selected to be part of the LEAP Africa Social Innovators Programme Cohort 2018. Read more about the LEAP Africa SIP Fellowship here

It was an awesome time of learning, implementing, networking, rubbing minds, collaborations; We look forward to the rest of the Fellowship year. Thank you, LEAP Africa! See photos from the workshop below:

Project #kNOwScoliosis! Team BACS visited three secondary schools within the Lagos Mainland communities to raise scoliosis awareness (Sensitisation and Enlightenment). Almost 4,000 students and their teachers/guardians now know about scoliosis. There were also lots of questions answered. The schools visited include:

  • Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba (a strength of over 3,000 students)
  • Yaba College of Technology Staff Secondary School, Yaba (a strength of about 400 students)
  • LivingStone College, Onipanu (a strength of about 500 students)

We are so excited to have kicked off our The Pollination Project funded Project #kNOwScoliosis in February. Looking forward to doing more. See photos from our February outreaches below:
